  • Nike Be true Collection
    Wednesday, January 30, 2008 12:07

The next chapter of the Nike Dunk Be True collection is about to be released - the City pack. Consisting of Dunk Hi's for overall 7 different world cities, each shoe comes limited to only 86 pairs worldwide. Cities included in the pack are - Rio de Janiero, London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Paris.
I haven't been a big fan of some previous Dunk releases, but I like this black-on-black version, because it puts more emphasis on the texture and materials . If you look closely, they also feature coordinated accents, matching laces to the trim. Prices and store locations have yet to be released, but prepare to spend a few monkeys if you want to put these on your feet.

    NoLay's World...
    11:20

NoLay is riding high at the moment, being one of the hottest spitters in the grimescene and releasing her highly anticipated retail mixtape "No Comparisons" next month. In wait for that to drop, she’s giving a pre-mixtape away for FREE in collaboration with the SK Vibemakers. "The New Chapter" contains old and new material, with freestyles and snippets of her upcoming release. I think that track "Swagger" is hot with equally hot production by Swindle (Cop his "140 Mixtape" as well, it's been out for a while but still worth a listen).

    Calvin Harris X Dizzee Rascal
    08:57

So Calvin Harris and Dizzee Rascal eh? Allegedly they met last summer and have been sending each other music online, for a possible joint project. "Dance With Me" is the first in a long line of tracks from the pair.
Everyone and their mother danced to Harris' big tune "Acceptable in the 80’s", so when I heard about the collab I was interested in what they would come up with. The song is from the world premiere Dizzee had going on when he hosted the Zane Lowe show with Annie Mac, hence the edits.

    I want that...Now!

Mama's International Secret Society or M.I.S.S. Crew are a very fly group of creative and multi-talented women. Who are business owners or working in the field of fashion, art, design, music, writing, dance, film or media...see what I mean by muti-talented! The intentions of the crew are to bring together women working in the male dominated industry and to celebrate Women street culture. They even have their own line...needless to say we here at TFE simply "loves it!"

"Nails did" are affiliated with M.I.S.S. and thats where I stumbled on their HOT tees!

My personal favourite is the Alicia Keys ala "Smokin Aces" inspired one...just fly!
If your feeling them too and would like to cop one for yourself. I think you can get them at Urban UK but hurry they're selling quick-fast!

    New Sounds...
    Friday, January 25, 2008 12:19

Ok so before I proceed I must state that I looove Erykah Badu and I'm loving the artwork!! She creates an amazing fusion of Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop. From the African head wraps to rocking the mic with a crazy flow she is the quintessential Hip-Hop B-Girl! I know I'm not the only one waiting for arguably the hottest album to drop this year. The first track floating around from the album "New Amerykah" is called "The Healer" produced by my future husband, Madlib :-)

"The Healer" *This one is for Dilla!
Thanks to herfection for the link!

I always enjoy the sounds of N*E*R*D and it seems they're working on a new album "Went Back In Time... To A Future Near You!" this is rumored to be the first single off it.

    O' So Silky Smooth...
    Thursday, January 24, 2008 15:27

How sick are these customs?? the concept is just too wonderful. Just looking at them makes me break into song. C'mon you know the words.... “Just let your Sooooouuuuuuuul Glow baby, feelin o' so silky smooth!”

With the retro throwback look being ever present, I hope this does not inspire a jheri curl revival. Just don't do it kids! Its surprisingly detailed, from the Soul Glo logo and characters on the toe all the way down to the zebra print on the I of “AIR”, the artist ISS did a fab job!
