    Foreign Exchange 'Daykeeper'...
    13:16
The Foreign Exchange 's sophmore LP, Leave It All Behind, is out now....and it's a must buy!!
This album is on constant repeat in my house, work, uni...everywhere! lol

A video has been released for the album's debut single "Daykeeper" featuring all round fly girl, Muhsinah (Please check her out if you haven't already).
The video isn't high with drama but I love the blue tone effect and it works well with the song.

Directed by Salih Abdul-Karim and Dana Kinlaw.

    The Opus of Saatchi...
    12:43

The world famous Saatchi Gallery in London is preparing to release it’s first retrospective book titled 'The Saatchi Opus' in February 2009. The book chronicles some of the most important artists of the last two decades including Lucien Freud, Damien Hirst, and Zhang Xiaoghang.
It includes essays by leading art critics Richard Cork and Brian Sewell, Sir Norman Rosenthal, former Secretary of Exhibitions at The Royal Academy of Art, and actor Steve Martin.
The Saatchi Opus is limited to only 950 copies all signed by Mr. Saatchi himself.
Of course something this exclusive will have a hefty price tag...the pre-publication price is £1,950! ($3,188).
    So I guess I won't be getting a copy then :-(

    WHY DO YOU GIVE... REALLY?
    Friday, October 10, 2008 17:01
Very interesting subject… I know as human beings we can never take enough. But as humans can we ever give enough in our lifetimes? We are constantly taking/receiving, with regards to natural resources… water, land, vegetation, animals… basically the world in general… I personally give because, I know and understand how it feels and what it’s like not to ‘have’. I’m not generalizing; to me its all the same from giving my friend a brand new sports car, or donating money for a new water system in a poor community in Africa; its all the same. I know my friend, & how we talked bout owning sports cars when we where young… I know what not having water feels like from a holiday in Greece where I had to buy drinking water, so I let my imagination fill in what it’s like not to have water at all. (I don’t expect everyone to agree/understand my reason(s) and views on giving… Simply because you are not me you where not raised my mother & father in their house where my charity began)… However I agree with some of the posted comments (Click On Tittle To View) with regards to the economical break down of giving… I don’t give to get internal satisfaction, happiness or to find meaning in life… Mostly its because I can… I’m not denying that I get a sense of satisfaction (internal or external) from giving. But if I’m feeling depressed, broke to my last pound and unsatisfied with my current state/being/life… I will not ‘give’ to get a sense or rush of internal/external satisfaction… the consequences will lead me back to square one, or even further back… Giving has ‘consequences’ … Most people need to appreciate that most of these consequences are good; However a few are bad. In a nut-shell… I don’t count it as giving if it’s not with my heart and i try to avoid that as much as i can. Giving to me, is giving without expectations… for a thank you, a award, membership etc.

Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals Collection...
    10:38

The Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals collection debuted in Paris during fashion week, and will be released through selected boutiques from February 1st, 2009.
The Jeremy Scott x Adidas Original collaboration is part of their 'Originals by Originals' project, which will also feature collections by streetwear designers Alyasha Owerka-Moore and Kazuki.
The collection features flapper fringe jackets, a leopard-print hoodie, and loose fitting sequined track pants. I'm raising an eyebrow at a few pieces, but I'm loving the Adidas Metro Attitude Hi-top...it has wings!

Check out Fly chick Amelian Kashiro's blog too (she's modelling the collection).

After starring as one of the cover girls on the ground breaking Vogue Italia ‘A Black Issue’, Jourdan Dunn is now on the cover of Vogue UK.

Despite the fact she shares the Vogue UK cover with Eden Clark and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, it’s a start.
The last black model to be featured on the cover of Vogue UK was Naomi Campbell in 2002.

It seems the industry is slowly but surely moving forward.

Designersblock teamed up with Selfridges to curate 7 window displays by different artists and designers.
The displays will be exhibited in the store’s duke street location until october 25th.
One of the windows features a special installation by the design studio
postlerferguson. For their display, the studio made a 1:1 replica of a concorde jet engine using paper and foam. they based the design of the ‘rolls-royce/snecma olympus 593’ engine off a repair manual they bought on ebay for £6.
