In anticipation for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Puma have teamed up with New York based painter, Kehinde Wiley, to create a limited edition version of the V1.10 soccer boot.
Kehinde Wileyhas gained worldwide acclaim for his unique style, in which he portrays African Americans in traditional poses placed upon boldly colored backgrounds.
Wiley has an ability to blend traditional and contemporary painting styles that is unparalleled. His work has been described with words like, 'intensity' and 'passion', two words also synonymous with soccer players and their fans. Wiley has worked with Puma on a successful collection in the recent past, so it only seemed natural for Puma to call upon him again for this special edition boot.
In the past I have documented my love for the lyrical beast and cool nerd that is Lupe fiasco, so I couldnt pass up on the chance to post his new collaboration with the RSVP Gallery to produce what they’re calling the ‘Red Box‘.
Its the latest in a series of collaborative efforts between the rapper and the Chicago-based luxury boutique, the Red Box is the container showcasing Lupe’s latest designs. This month, the box is holding t-shirts designed by Lupe and punk band Japanese Cartoon.
You probably remember Anthony Hamilton from his timeless classic; 'Coming where I'm From' or my personal favourite 'Charlene' .... his rough yet soft as silk voice captures me every time, you know those artists that make you close your eyes, click your fingers and rock to the beat ....LOL. This combined with his heartfelt, down to earth lyrics is what makes him my original Soul Man... check out his new song from his new album; The Point of it All

Will Kaymay not be a name you are familiar with now, but his work is. In 2007 the East London artist and graphic designer created the infamous'Grime Scene Poster', which featured notable and key figures within the music genre [Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Kano, Bashy etc.]
Without any support or backing from investors or galleries, 'The Grime Scene Poster' became, and still is, a bestseller on UKRecordshop.com.
The Bestselling Grime Scene Poster
After the success of the poster, Will has gone onto several projects including work as the official graphic designer for top UK female MC, No.Lay and his soon to be released clothing line;Odd Kingdom™. His work stands alone for its originality and pure raw style; much like the man himself.

Our favourite 'Black boy' Bashy not only has the leading track off the Adulthood soundtrack but he was also the music supervisor for the entire project!
'I was like brapp! Black boys up in this...'
Director Noel Clarke sought after Bashy after picking up his 'Chupa Cups' mixtape and noticed that a few of the tracks contained sample quotes from the first Kidulthood film. 'Kidulthood to Adulthood' is available to download everywhere from 30/06/08 and the original soundtrack is available from 16/06/08. Check out the film too, which is released next Friday.
